Becoming a teacher has always been a passion and goal of mine. The initial start to this goal was created by my grade three teacher. She really inspired me to become a teacher through her dedication and care towards my entire class. She helped me enjoy school a lot more and her enthusiasm went beyond any teacher I had. She was always willing to help anyone who needed extra assistance and helped me see how important getting an education was. I feel all students deserve to have teachers like her and I hope to be the great teacher she was for me.
With the constant goal of becoming at teacher kept in mind, the courses I took in my Associate of Arts Degree and Bachelor of Arts Degree were somewhat selected based on what I thought would be beneficial to my teaching career in the future. I tried to take as many education courses as possible. I feel that there is so much to learn about being a teacher and that the learning process will never end. I am a strong believer in life long learning and plan on continuing with my own educational learning after the Teacher Education Program. I want to provide my students with the best teaching practices as possible and the only way for me to do that, is for me to continue with expanding my own knowledge.
I come for a large family in which I am the eldest and have four younger brothers. I have always acted like a teacher to all of them and helped to teach them things I had already comprehended. I have also cared for many children and tutured them on various subjects. I really enjoy being able to provide children with the assistance they need to help them succeed.
I am committed and devoted to becoming a teacher in BC. I want to flourish my students with knowledge as well as build upon my own. I want to provide a safe and inclusive classroom environment for all my students. I enjoy working with children and I find being able to help them grow and succeed very rewarding. I hope to have a strong and successful teaching career for many years in the future.
